How can I retrieve concert tickets sent to a wrong email?

Hello! Just made an account because I’m in desperate need of some help, and I’m hoping that a Shopify official will be able to point me in the right direction.

I recently purchased VIP tickets to a show, half alive, and I put in the wrong email for the ticket to be sent to. The email used is currently out of commission, so I don’t have to worry about someone else stealing my tickets; however, I would like to know if I would be able to go about receiving my tickets. I have the out-of-commission email it was sent to as well as the credit card info used, I just need a Shopify assistant to help me out as the final step… The store used for this purchase is managed by Shopify.

Any and all help that can be provided is appreciated… The concert is in April and I spent $80 on a ticket that I don’t know I’ll ever see!

I understand you’re reaching out for assistance with an order that was placed through a store powered by Shopify. While it’s possible that the store you bought from may leverage Shopify services, each store on Shopify is its own business and operates individually. Shopify can’t access order information or other information to look into. That being said, there are still some steps available to you.

Did you receive an order confirmation email or any kind of email after purchasing the ticket? If so, I encourage you to reply directly to it. When reaching out to the business/store, I would share the following information:

  • You no longer have access to the email address it was sent to however, you can provide the out-of-commission email.
  • Details used to place the order.

If you’re unable to locate an order confirmation email on your end, there are other ways you can try contacting the store you ordered from. I’ll share them below.

  • Contacting by phone.
  • Using a contact form found on the store website.
  • Using a social media messaging app, such as Facebook Messenger. Or if you’re able to locate any social media handles listed on the business website.
