Hi gurus!
I want to send a notification (email) to my customers 14 days after they have made an order on our shop.
Currently I do not see any notifications that allows this in settings>notifications.
Has anyone found a way to do this? Shopify Email does not allow automations.
Preferably without using 3rd party apps.

Hope you are doing great 
There’s no “wait time” setting on Shopify. The Shopify email notification will triggered with events, which means email will be sent out with customer’s activities.
For example, customer A purchased a product. Right after that, he will get the email to his mail box.
I know you’d prefer not use a 3rd party app, but an email app will help you build an automated workflow which sends out email after 14 days.

You can adjust wait time, and there are several premade automations for you to try on. There are a Free plan available and 24/7 support, so you wont have to worry about building a workflow
