How can I separate men's and women's collections in my store?

I have Mens and womens Collections in my store but i somehow have Mens poducts mixed in the womens and womens products in with the mens. How do I fix his where they are not nixed together?

It might be an issue of you the conditions for a product to be added to a specific collection. Maybe some products have the same tags thats why they are showing in both collections.

Hey, @Trisha1977 ! Welcome to Shopify Community!

It sounds like you’re looking at a collection containing all the products in your store. If so, this may be the default all products collection that was included in the theme you’re using. While this is already available and you can keep this in your store to make it accessible to your customers, it’s not mandatory that you do and you can create new collections with only the particular products you wish to be in them.

There are two types of collections you can create:

Manual collections are collections that you can manually add products to. The collection will always contain the same products unless you remove them or add different ones. Automated collections, on the other hand, use selection conditions to automatically include matching products. The products they contain can automatically change, depending on the conditions you set.

Manual collections are ideal if you don’t have a big product range and your collections don’t often change. If this is the case, you can refer to this video on how to create a manual collection. Automated collections are more beneficial for you if you have a large volume of products and if you plan to keep adding products periodically. You can create them by watching this video guide on how to create an automated collection.

While you work on organizing your products, feel free to take some tips from this article on how to organize them in a way to get more sales. Product organization plays a part in generating conversions so pay close attention to how you’re going to manage your collections. That way you can set up your store for success!

I was just curious, should I register taxes first or share my store to social media first? Do these have to be done in any certain order?

I know the collection process. Now I am wondering, should I register to collect taxes first or share my store to social media?

Hey, @Trisha1977 !

I noticed that you posted this question as a separate topic as well. I’ve just posted a reply here.
