How can I separate taxable and non-taxable items on a POS Receipt?

My state is requiring me to have separate subtotal of taxable items and non-taxable items (like services).

I see no way to customize that part of the receipt.

Is there a way to do this?

I resorted to Twitter to contact Shopify Support.
This was their response.

Thanks, Gene. I have checked in with our Retail team and they don’t believe it’s currently possible to show a breakdown of taxable and non-taxable items on the POS receipts.
