I’m doing a site that needs a custom weight, but they need it in grams per square meter instead of a simple weight (e.g. grams).
How can I do this on Shopify?

I took a look in our App Store, and I was able to find a few apps that provide the functionality you are after. Quantity and grams per square meter appear to be one of the unit options available.
