I am migrating from my old store to Shopify.
But the products in the old store have different variant options.
For example,
product1: has only size option - Small/Medium/Large
product2: has only weight option - 18oz/19oz/20oz
product3: has the only color option - Black/Blue/Pink
I know that on Shopify, products have to have the same variant option.
So in this case, products need to have size & weight & color.
But I am not sure how I can set variant options to old products.
Can anyone help me to resolve this?
Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but products in Shopify do not have to have the same variant options. So you can do exactly what you are saying i.e.
product1: has only size option - Small/Medium/Large
product2: has only weight option - 18oz/19oz/20oz
product3: has the only color option - Black/Blue/Pink
So long as Product1, Product2, Product3 are separate individual products i.e. each have their own product page.
When you create a product you can set whatever variant title & options you want for that specific product.

@JonWright Thanks for your reply.
What I meant is that:
product2 doesn’t have size & color option but in Shopify, we have to add any value for these options like this.
[{size}, {weight}, {color}]
Hmm, still not getting your issue.
Here’s two products, with totally different variable titles & options. I am not forced to use the same ones.
