i’m looking for a way to fix so there is no variant pre-selected, we want it blank as standard option, or saying something like “choose product”
When you visit a product page the frist variant is always selected, and that can be confusing to the customer sometimes, making them order the wrong item, since sometimes they don’t understand there is different variants, this happens quite frequently.

We don’t want to have anything selected when you enter the product site so the customer always have to choose an variant before they can add anything to cart.

Double check the themes settings and documentation to be sure if it doesn’t have this as a feature.
If the theme doesn’t support that feature it’s an advanced customization to modify a theme to have that behavior.
For DIY’ers with coding experience there is an existing guide on this customization but it is only for older vintage themes made by shopify not newer third party OS2.0 themes.
