I have a basic shopify plan. I am looking to have certain shipping methods available for certain customers and other methods of shipping available for other customers. Has anyone found a solution for this. Thanks in advance.

Apps available on the market now to hide certain shipping if customer has no tag.
it means you have to create both rates from Shopify. EX: standard and premium
and you can hide shipping rates by customer tag vice-versa.

Please lookout with this app: Shipfy: Shipping Customization It works with all Shopify’s plans.
Please follow below steps for setup different shipping for different customer tag.
- You need to create both types of shipping rates (for normal customers and special customer)
- On the app, please create a rule to hide shipping rates.
- write shipping method name and choose customer tag in condition. like below screenshot:
It will show VIP Shipping only if customer have tag “VIP”.
Please check with your customer tag and see. You can hide normal shipping rate for VIP customer as well.
Please make sure this works with normal checkout now. not working on draft order as limitation from API.
