Is there a way in shopify or third party apps to make the consumer purchase a specific quantity of a product. For example: Apples are priced at $1 each, but can only be purchase in quantities of 1000, 5000, 10000. Oranges are priced at $.75 each, but can only be purchased in quantities of 100, 125, and 150. What I am trying to accomplish is the search result(and product page) showing a unit price, but when it is time to purchase, they can only buy in certain quantities.

You can create options for each quantity like:
- Option 1 - 100
- Option 2 - 200
- Option 3 - 500
To manage inventory you then bundle up each inventory. This is a common scenario for our app users. Our app then updates all the options based on the component quantity available and updates all after each sale.
The only limitation you might have is you probably still need to add a single quantity as an option to achieve what you are after.

Really great question! I’m wondering if a variant product option app could work for you here. Shopify does have native variant feature built in, but it might not be as dynamic as you need for what you’re looking for. If not there are a few different apps with this feature that I think could work for you. The Variant Option Product Options app specifically says:

If not, there is another type of app which might work, it’s a Bundle feature style app.

Have you got the solution? If not, Multivariants - Bulk Order could be a solution for you and others who are looking for a similar kind of feature or solution.
You want to offer your products in fixed quantities which can be done by using MultiVariants. Let’s say you want your customer to choose from your predefined bundle like 6,12,24…. Etc. you can easily do it by using the app. Once you are done with the setup, your customer has to choose from the preset quantities to place the order.
Apart from the bulk order feature, Multivariants also offer incremental quantity increase, minimum/maximum order quantity, minimum/maximum order value, etc.
