I have a product that I’m charging a flat fee of $150 to ship. However when I try to buy two, the fee stays as $150 when I want it to double to $300. Is there a way to have combined shipping for multiples of the same product?

Since you have set the flat rate of $150 irrespective of how many products you include it will remain the same. To achieve your requirement you can switch to quantity based rates which is unfortunately not available with Shopify. The only workaround will be apps like Multi Carrier Shipping Label app.
If you want you can switch to weight-based rates which is available within Shopify.
This is such a trash service on Shopify part and we got stuck on this too. What we did is make a pricing group in shipping for this product with windows. The item in question they will always buy two, sometimes four, but what we did is set the pricing such as.
that product (price 405) if they order 0-405 shipping is 45 dollars if they order 405.1-810.0 its 90 and so on. I did this up to a quantity of eight items and it always works.
But Shopify should fix that
