How can I set up different prices for different customer types on Shopify?

Hello, I have a client that services 2 types of customers. Licensed Professionals and retail customers.

I’m looking for help setting up the site to allow products to have different prices based on customer type without impacting inventory ( such as creating duplicate products).

Customer Types

Licensed Customer

-Must create a customer account

-must provide a License number.

-access to all products

-access to professional prices.

  • discounted prices.

  • Must provide a License number to get a discount.

Retail customer ( these prices should be the default price)

  • No login required
  • No access to certain types of product
  • Higher prices displayed ( retail)

Currently, you can only install the app for this case, refer: https://apps.shopify.com/browse/merchandising-pricing-customer-specific-pricing . This is the only way to set it up.

Or you need to contact Shopify directly, they will give you the best app advice.
