Ok, so I’ve been meaning to get round to setting up this channel for a while and finally got round to it this week. When setting it up it asks which google account you want to use. Having an account under my business name it made sense to use that. Everything is going fine, products being approved and others pending, all good. I then go to set up analytics. It’s showing my google account, merchant centre but showing no property and I need to set an analytics account. BUT when I try to set up analytics I’ve found I can’t because I’ve used a Google brand account to connect to the sales channel. With products uploading and pending I’m unwilling to disconnect as the warnings about doing that are quite grim. I’ve also read that once a domain is linked to a merchant centre it can’t be changed. I’ve also found that although the channel created a merchant centre I cannot log in to using my brand account! So basically the channel allows you to set up using a brand account but you can’t use analytics or access your merchant centre…..help!
