I have been trying to set up iCloud Mail to use my emails from Shopify domain. I followed the instruction from iCloud, but it didn’t work. It keeps saying ‘Check your TXT record’ at the final confirmation. I did input all information correct on DNS setting page on Shopify.
Shopify support told me to contact iCloud, and iCloud told me to contact Shopify. I did both.
Shopify support ended up telling me not to change any DNS records. That is ridiculous because I paid for the domain.
It was easy setting up iCloud Mail on Wordpress, which I had been using til I moved my domain to Shopify.
Does anybody know how to use iCloud Mail with Shopify domain?
Shopify doesn’t support iCloud???
I was able to do it by setting up email hosting on Shopify, then selecting G Suite and inputting the Apple generated TXT value. When you do this, Shopify automatically adds other entries in MX records for G Suite. Delete the all of these MX records, and leave only the ones created by Apple, or add them, if you haven’t. I did this and I was able to verify on iCloud.
Hi, Felipe, perhaps you can help. I am new to shopify and not very tech-savvy. I am trying to set up an email account on my mac (via icloud) so I can send work emails with the same email address as my shopify ‘sender’ email address. I am pleased you were able to set it up. I am concerned that it will be problematic for a novice like myself yet I do not want to incur further monthly outgoings by purchasing a monthly subscription to googleworkspace, which seems to be Shopify’s preferred 3rd party email go-to. Can you confirm that you have had no problems connecting your Shopify email to your iCloud account? Any tips would be tremendously appreciated.
