How can I set up limited inventory with multiple variant options?

Hello!

So I am attempting to set up my store in a specific way and can’t figure out how. I am selling t-shirts with screen print transfers pressed onto the t-shirt. But will make the shirt to order. Example: I have 3 screen prints of one design but want to offer many colors and size options for the screen print. But need only to be able to sell 3. Help!

Wouldn’t this be 3 products (one for each screen print as the print is what differentiates the product) and then multiple variants per shirt (one for each color, size, etc.)?
