Hey @ottocoomer123
Welcome to the Shopify Community!
That’s very exciting that you are just starting to set up your own Shopify store! What kind of products will you be selling on it?
I can see you have some questions regarding the verification process for Shopify Payments - I’d be happy to explain!
When you first set up Shopify Payments, you are required to submit various pieces of verification information, which are usually things like official documents or utility bills. Common things we require verification for include: Date of Birth/Identity, Address and Business Documents.
The documents that you upload must be reviewed and matched successfully to the information on your Shopify Payments account that you entered when setting the account up. This is a required step before your business can be fully verified and you can receive payouts and sometimes even accept payments.
From your screenshot, it looks like some of the documents you previously submitted were not successfully verified, and as a result the account may have been placed on hold. To resolve this, you can try clicking the ‘Submit Document’ button which should bring you to a page outlining exactly what is required. For more information on accepted documents you can refer to this resource.
If you are unable to upload these documents again, or if the hold applied to your account remains in place then I would suggest reaching out to our support team as soon as possible to get this looked into. You can do that by clicking the ‘Contact Shopify Support’ button in the warning message, or by following this link. Please ensure that you are logged in as the Account Owner when reaching out to us, as only that person can be authenticated to resolve this.
Did you know that you can actually sell in multiple currencies when using Shopify Payments? It allows you to set up your store so that customers from other countries can checkout using their own currencies. It’s certainly worth looking into when you get this verification issue resolved!
