i don’t get a option to choose a country when I go to checkout on my website. I’m not using dropshipping as I’ve got my own supplier that I contact directly.
when I try to solve this problem it says “You currently don’t have any shipping rates with transit time. Once you’ve set up transit times, you can then use processing time to show delivery dates to your customers” but I don’t know how to do this.
just want to finish setting up my website
If you only have one shipping profile on your store, click Manage beside it and follow the steps linked above to complete your transit time setup. More than one shipping profile might be the cause of the error message at checkout—perhaps you had the rates set up completely for one profile but not others. Let me know if the guides linked above help you sort this out. If you have further questions, please follow up with me here.
If you’re not seeing the Transit time menu when you click Add rate, here are a couple things to double check:
the Shipping from section contains only one location
the shipping zone contains only one of the eligible countries and its regions
You can create multiple shipping zones if you need to add rates for more than one country. Here’s an example of what the Add rate window should look like when the conditions above are met:
Transit times are not specific to a particular Shopify plan—you should have access to this feature regardless of your plan. I’m not able to access your admin from this public space, but if you get in touch with our team via the Shopify Help Center, we will be able to take a look at the settings with you.
Where is your store operating from? I’ve checked in with our Shipping team and they confirmed that transit times are currently only available in the following regions: Canada, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK & Australia.
I appreciate you expressing your interest in the transit times feature. While I don’t have insight into which countries may get access to the feature next, I have shared your request here with our developers for consideration in future updates.
I am not 100% sure on this. But, I ran into the same issues people are reporting here. Only I only have the issue on certain locations.
If you add a new location. Then in that location pick the same country your store is located in, Then add a real address, then save. From there I think you will have the Transit time option.
If you do not do those exact steps you cant. Also, if you try to change the country or address on an existing location after the fact to match what i said - that won’t work either.
I think Shopify has some sort of secret back end settings tied to different objects that can’t be changed. I have come across this type of things in other scenarios as well.
