I just received an email from Shopify Ava HOWDEN with the email HOW0038@fhs.vic.edu.au.
I checked the email extension. It’s from a high school I believe may be in Australia (maybe)?
Anyway, the email claims a customer has opened a chargeback for an order number and dollar amount I have no record of. It claims I am being charged $125.40.
It instructs me to “review chargeback” with a button to an outside link.
I I am not clinking the link as I believe this to be a scam.
Can someone tell me (and others) how to recognize an actual chargeback notice received from Shopify - including the actual email address it will come from and any other information I (and others) can use to identify suspicious emails. Is there a way to report any scams to Shopify so they can send out notices?
