Hello, so I paid shopify to have a third party build my website. They haven’t done anything I asked for and kept asking for more money. I have no way of reaching shopify. I don’t know if they still have my domain or not. It shows inactive for my account. Can I just start building my website on my own?

It sounds like you have hired an Expert from the Shopify Expert’s Marketplace, is that correct? If so, that is not how we expect Partner’s to treat their clients. I can definitely understand why you would be upset.
We do have a team in place to get involved** if these such situations occur**. In this situation you will need to reach out directly to our live advisors who can assist in having this escalated to the correct team to investigate this behaviour.
Please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request through live chat, email, or callback. Once you have logged in to your account, type your request in ‘Ask about a topic’, scroll down to ‘Get Support’, and then click ‘Continue.’
In regards to them having access to your domain and store, they should only have Staff, or Development access and be listed as the Account Owner. Are you still able to login to your account? If so, you can remove their access by heading to Settings > Staff & Permissions, and remove the user from your account.
