How can I stop a company from charging me after deactivation?

I have reached out to an agent to have this company stop charging me they have been taking money from my account every month for the last 6 or 7 months and I’ve deactivated my account with Shopify because of no sales. I don’t know how to have them permanently removed from taking money from me. I’ve spoken to many agents and they’ve told me nonsense. I officially hate this company and will keep giving bad reviews because of this issue.

Thank you for reaching out. Shopify will only continue charging you if you have an active subscription plan with us, so this points to a store remaining open on our system. Are you able to log into the store you had set up in the past? Once you have done so, you can close your account from within the Shopify admin and you will not be billed moving forward.

Can you also tell me what was said when you spoke with our support team?

I do not have an active subscription with you guys. I have closed and
deactivated everything and I am still being charged. I can’t log into my
account because it is deactivated, therefore I would have to create and
activate my accounts in order to close it again, in which makes no sense.
I have included photos of my reoccurring charges and when I try to log in.
I am unsure what to do but I refuse to keep getting charged for the
service. I need my money back for all the past charges that have been made.

Okay, I see. Is it possible that you have more than one store on the platform? Shopify will not continue to charge you every month if your store is deactivated. When you log Shopify, you’ll see all stores associated with that email address. Please check this to see if you see any other stores that may be open. You may also want check any other email addresses you may have used when signing up.

If you can still not find your store and log in, please contact our support team about this. You can do this without logging in. Please speak with the chatbot, say that you cannot log in, and that you’d like to speak to support. You should then be directed to a page where you can start a live chat with our team.
