I’m building a portal for selling package services that require booking a date for the service and gathering of the personal information of all participants booked for the activity. I’d like to have this information entered by activity and participant on checkout. Any suggestions for apps that facilitate that?

The checkout itself is restricted from editing in that way unless you are on the Plus plan (high GMV). This is to ensure the safety and integrity of the checkout experience for all our merchants.
That being said, there are a range of great apps to choose from in the App Store that can help you with this. I really like the Sesami app: Sesami: Appointment Booking. It is very robust and easy to use. You can search the app store for “Booking” and will see a selection of appointment based apps available.
Thank you so much Shay, that was helpful. However, the app was too complex for my needs, all I needed was literally a single datepicker field, there’s no duration since it’s more for trips and tours so it’s an all day kind of event and I don’t need the scheduling piece.
I found a Shopify article though on how to add a datepicker to the checkout process, and I added it in the product liquid template. However, the behaviour is not great as per the screenshot below, the control has a tendency to go behind the buttons and the date is not selectable. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I would recommend posting that request specifically (include a link to your store if you can as well as the screenshot) in our Design Board. Hopefully someone will be able to assist with tweaking that for you.
