How can I switch from Debut to Narrative without losing data?

HI,

I am currently using Debt and wanting to change design to Narrative and wondering how to do this without loosing everything ?? Can I publish the new design and still retain all information from previous design??

Theme settings do not transfer between different themes.

You will need to reconfigure new themes, it can be helpful to open the visual theme editor twice once for the old theme and the new theme to quickly work through what you’ve previously done. Even easier if you have two monitors.

Advanced users could file compare the settings_data.json and try to manually copy data between those files but what the names and features are varies WILDLY between themes.

Content: product data, page content, etc of course remains and is automatically used by themes for display on the storefront.
