How can I switch my primary domain in Shopify?

I’m not able to change my primary domain to not be myshopname.myshopify.com.

I own and have connected both myshopname.ca and myshopname.com, and currently each is set up as a Market Domain for their respective country. I’ve looked at Shopify’s tutotial on this here, but step 3 doesn’t work because after selecting my .com domain, the only options I see are “view market settings” and “delete domain”

For SEO purposes, I really don’t want the long myshopify.com domain showing up, and instead want to use my primary .com domain. Any ideas?

Hi, @Germanboxes .

Once you’ve clicked on the domain within Settings > Domains, you should be able to see a button that says Change domain type, as seen below:

If you click on this, a popup should appear, which will allow you to select Primary domain as an option:

Can you give this a go on your end and let me know if you see the option above?
