I am new to Shopify and I have some doubts regarding distribution. So I am building a Shopify app for my organisation and have tested it on my live store and I thought let’s distribute it as custom distribution and test the app in the theme of my organisation’s store. So I have the access of the admin panel as a staff member and I installed the app through single merchant link and tried running npm run dev to check whether I can customize or not and it’s working with my app’s admin panel and I couldn’t find a way to see changes of my theme app extension in the org’s draft theme. Will that be possible? Can I test my theme app extension in a live store after installing it through custom distribution?
And in Apps and sales channels I can see custom app development and can create an app there. Is that the same thing like creating an app and custom distributing it? Explain me

I ran npm run dev to check if I could customize it, and the app works with my admin panel. Is it possible to test a theme app extension in a live store after installing it through custom distribution?
Additionally, under Apps and Sales Channels, I noticed an option for Custom App Development, where I can create an app. Is this the same as creating an app and distributing it via custom distribution? Could you please explain?
