I’ve just developed a new cart drawer (rather than standalone cart page) for my store with an ‘upsell’ area from which customers can add products to cart directly, or navigate to the page of the product being upsold.
I would like to be able to access sales analytics for these upsell adds (whether directly adding, or navigating to the product and then adding). One option I considered was appropriating the Shopify Recommendations URL tracking parameters, but I’m sure there’s an obvious solution out there I’m unaware of. I also tried UTM parameters but realised this isn’t how its meant to be used / it would butcher our other data.
Does anyone have advice they’d be willing to share about how to achieve this? Thank you very much.
