Is it possible to have multiple images per variant selected? This is something I need the app to be able to handle.
Topic summary
Goal: Sell a lamp as either (a) base + shade with variable shade pricing or (b) base only, while ensuring fulfillment receives two separate SKUs (stock keeping units) for base and shade, and keeping accurate variant imagery.
Proposed approaches:
- Shopify variants: Suggested via native variant options, but the OP notes this may not address the need to split an order into two SKUs for fulfillment.
- Add-on products: List the shade as a separate product that’s added to cart with the base. Can be done natively with custom code or via third-party apps.
- Easify Product Options app: Map shade selections to distinct products with their own SKUs, using a prebuilt “Lamp” template. Also offers “Option URL” to link separate products (each with multiple images) so switching options appears like changing variants.
Latest update and open question:
- OP asks if selecting a specific shade style/color (e.g., “taper shade” in “green”) can automatically switch the primary product image to that combination. App developer requested more details; confirmation pending.
Notes: Multiple screenshots/demos were shared to illustrate app behavior. Discussion remains open with no final solution chosen.
