How can I update my name servers from Big Commerce to another platform?

My name servers are from big commerce, how do I update to Shopify? To connect transfer my store.

Are you wanting to connect your domain to your Shopify store? If so, we don’t require you to update your domain’s nameservers to point to Shopify. You only need to update your domain’s DNS records for it to point to your Shopify store. These DNS records are the following:

  • A record:
    • name: @
    • value: 23.227.38.65
  • CNAME record:
    • name: www
    • value: shops.myshopify.com

You can contact your domain provider for assistance in adding the A and CNAME records. If you wish to transfer your domain to Shopify instead of connecting it, you may follow the guide on this page.
