We subscribed to the Starter plan of Rs.399 (INR) per month. After subscribing we realized we require some customizations in the theme which is not possible in the Starter plan, so we looked to upgrade to the Basic plan of Rs.1994 per month. But the upgrade plan page showed the Basic plan at Rs.6,220 per month. How should we subscribe to the Basic Rs.1994 per month plan? Sharing the screenshot below.

in general the pricing stays the same no matter what plan you picked before: https://www.shopify.com/in/pricing
So the basic plan will always cost 1,994 if you pick the monthly plan. If you pick the yearly plan its cheaper for the monthly costs but you get charged the full amount in advance.
The price is because you picked the checkout with POS at the bottom if you uncheck it you can see the normal price of the Shopify Basic Plan again.
