How can I use an inactive store as a sandbox for design changes?

Hi.

We have a store that we pay for https://baraka-supplies.myshopify.com/ but don’t use. We have it redirected to our main store https://baraka-supplies-usa.myshopify.com/

The inactive store is basically a replica with CAD pricing instead of USD

We want to make some design changes to our store and theme and would like to find a way to use our inactive store as a sandbox. But, to see the changes we have to remove the re-direct and that would open the store for any with the old link to go there (the way we understand it now)

Do you have any suggestions on how we can do this? We just want a space to test and experiment with some coding changes we want to make.

To provide some context, the theme library is a great tool that allows you to add, customize, and preview various themes without being published. I recommend checking out our Adding, Previewing, and Buying Themes documentation as it touches more on this!

As you’re looking to experiment with code customizations, you have the ability to duplicate the current theme, to have it added to the theme library. Once added to the library, code edits can be completed and previewed before making a final decision to carry it over to the live theme.
