How can I use metafields as filters in my search and discovery app?

i have the shopify search and discovery app installed

i have the following metafield configured under collection, basically it’s a metafield to add subcollections to a collection under products->collections

but when i try to add a filter I don’t see this metagfield definition

only options i have are

anyway to add my custom metafield to this? thank you
