I need to verify my store address, I have a message reading “This address couldn’t be verified. You may be unable to buy shipping labels or set up certain delivery methods. Review the format or try re-entering your address.”
The issue I have is that the physical street address that I want to use is not correctly listed and recognized by Canada Post. When I use the street number I get the message below. Thanks in advance.
“Street is invalid: An exact street name match could not be found. Please verify your address with Canada Post and try again.”

Thank you for getting in touch. Are you able to confirm if you are still able to buy a label after this error appears, or are you prevented from doing so? Can you also explain in more detail why your address is not recognized by Canada Post?

I appear to be able to create a shipping label. I didn’t click “Buy Shipping Label” but I was able to select the shipping service and the summary populated.
I’m not sure why the address is not registered by Canada Post. I spoke to the local Post Office and it it’s likely an error that was made then Canada Post assigned addresses to the area.
The address in question doesn’t actually receive deliveries from Canada Post, there is a separate PO Box service for most addresses in the town. Couriers pickup and deliver to the street address I am using and Google Maps lists it, with the exception or an abnormality with the post code (since Canada Post don’t actually deliver there).

Right, thank you. Shopify verify addresses with Canada Post when it comes to buying shipping labels for their courier service, and addresses that cannot be verified with them will show as unverified when buying a label through the admin. If you still see an option to buy the label, you are free to do so and use it when shipping the item. If the post office rejects it you can void the label if it is not used and receive a label credit on your account.
It might also be worth speaking to the staff at the post office and ask about the process of having an address verified in their system, if indeed you believe it is one that has been missed by them. They will hopefully be able to advise you on how best to get your address verified by Canada Post.
