I’m wondering if there is a way to see what your most popular collection is. Seems like a very standard thing, there is a way to see top sales by product but I’m looking for collection.
Is there a way to do this without an app and if it’s not, what app would be well suited for this?
I think this needs more of a definition, what you actually look into finding out. Since an item can be in multiple collections – it’s not really possible to log the collection, unless Shopify provides a way to pinpoint the point of entry before an item gets purchased. I don’t think that this data is being logged in reference to the conversion outcome though … is that correct, @Nick ?
Well let’s say someone buys a poster from us. The poster is in two collections “Nature” and “Abstract”. Both of those collections would then get +1 purchased from collection.
Then someone buys a poster which is in the “Nature” and “Fashion” collections.
Another person buys a poster which is in just the “Fashion” collection. The stats would then be the following:
I get your motivation … if you absolutely really want this, I think you’d likely have to develop your own solution. App research hasn’t given me much of a satisfying result. If you want to get into this in more detail, feel free to get in touch.
We are currently looking into setting up something with our GA so we might solve it that way.
I must say I find it a bit weird that this is not a standard feature in the Shopify analytics. Viewing sales by collection is very important and you can already view by product.
