How can incorrect customer information appear in a finalized draft order?

I created a draft order, without customer information and emailed it to my customer, (which I have done many times).

When the draft order was paid and an order created the item was shipped out.

I found out a day later that although the customers name was the same (draft order and order) the email and the shipping and billing address were wrong on the order. But again, I never filled this information in. My client assures me that she did not fill in incorrect information (she has lived at her address for 20 years).

Is there any other way that this information could have been filled in?

Hi there,

I’ll do my best to help you out here. Can you specify how the address was wrong? Was it reversed or a completely different address entirely?

I find when I make a draft order, there is always a default Province or State and I have to make sure to change it - could this have been the issue? Any details about this will help determine how to happened.

I’ll look forward to your response!

Hi Ren,

I appreciate your help.

Both the street address and the town were totally different, although both were in PA.

When I created the draft order I did change the default State (which is Alabama) to Pennsylvania, but I did not add a customer or any other address information.

The invoice was payed using google pay, could there have been a hack or error there?
