How can Shopify apps be considered for Shopify Blog articles?

Hi everyone,

We’re the team behind BuckyDrop, an app currently listed on the Shopify App Store.

We recently came across this Shopify Blog article:

“16 Best Dropshipping Suppliers for Your Store (2026)”
https://www.shopify.com/blog/dropshipping-suppliers

We noticed that the article features several Shopify apps and dropshipping solutions, and we’d like to understand how apps are selected or considered for this type of Shopify Blog content.

BuckyDrop focuses on China product sourcing, branded dropshipping, private label/POD, and automated fulfillment, so we believe it could be relevant to this topic.

Does anyone know if there is an official process for Shopify App developers or partners to submit an app for editorial consideration? Is there a specific Editorial/Content team, submission form, or other contact channel for this?

We’d be happy to provide our Shopify App Store listing, product information, merchant reviews, screenshots, or any other materials needed for evaluation.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

BuckyDrop Team

There is no public submission process for that, and I would not spend much time hunting for one. The Ecommerce Marketing Blog - Ecommerce News, Online Store Tips and More - Shopify posts are Shopify’s own SEO content, written and refreshed by their content team. It is not a partner surface, so there is no editorial inbox or form to pitch.

The documented path that does connect to being promoted is Built for Shopify. Shopify calls it the highest level of recognition an app can reach, and the part that matters for you is that it makes an app eligible for promotion on merchant surfaces beyond your own listing page. That is the closest published lever there is.

The other thing worth knowing about those roundups is how apps end up in them. A writer working on best dropshipping suppliers 2026 goes looking at what already ranks and what already has install and review volume. So the apps in that article are mostly there because they were visible first, not because they asked. Which means the work is the same either way, ranking in your App Store category and getting review count up, and the blog mention turns up later as a side effect.

Are you at Built for Shopify status yet? If not that is a much more concrete thing to chase than editorial, and every requirement is written down.

Thanks for your answer.
