We received a chargeback today on Shopify platform. Shopify rated the transaction as “low risk” so we had fulfilled the order. It is not clear why Shopify did not use 3DS to authenticate this transaction because the potential fraud would have been stopped. This is a huge limitation of using Shopify if merchants cannot be confident in transactions. More to come…
