How can we activate the Carrier Service API for shipping fees?

Our company, which operates in the furniture industry, had a Shopify subscription for $79 per month. In order to use the Carrier service, we switched to an annual payment plan. We want to reflect the shipping fee to the cart on the checkout page using the API of Cargointernational. How can we activate it? We will be glad if you help. Thanks in advance.

Hi there @Chemo !

Thanks for reaching out here in the Shopify Community and thanks also for sharing that info also, that’s super helpful!

As you’re paying for your Shopify plan annually, you can get carrier-calculated rates added to your account for free as part of this plan.

This functionality can also be added as a standalone add-on for $20 USD/month, or it also comes as part of the Advanced Shopify and Shopify Plus plans.

To get this enabled for your store, you’d just need to reach out via our Help Centre here where we can access your account securely and get this turned on for you.

Are you yourself making or sourcing the furniture you sell online?

We are following the issue.

We are just a seller. Isn’t it enough to have an annual payment plan for us to use this service? Is there any need for an extra fee or plan change?

Hi there @ErsinMobel and @Chemo !

As in my reply above, it would not be necessary to choose another plan or add-on if your store is on an annual plan as if you’re paying for your Shopify plan annually, you can get carrier-calculated rates added to your account for free as part of this plan.

It would only be necessary to reach out via our Help Centre in order to get this activated for your store, there would be no changes to your plan or account otherwise.

we have done our business. We upgraded our plan. but only FedEx and UPS are on the list. How can I add cargo internetional to that list?

Hi again @Chemo !

There are a couple of things to check out here so that you can add your carrier service integration to your Shopify store.

The first would be to ensure carrier-calculated shipping is enabled for your account, once you are on a compatible plan.

If you haven’t already, you can reach out via our Help Centre here so we can enable this feature for any eligible account of yours.

Next, I would check with your carrier service to see what sort of integration they offer for use with Shopify.

I had a look through their site for any info but was not able to find specifics on Shopify.

You can check out their FAQ and contact page here though, so you can confirm with them how you might be able to integrate this with your Shopify store.

I searched elsewhere online to see if there were any existing integrations for this service with Shopify and found some info from ShopPad on carriers their Tracktor app supports, which mentions the carrier you shared here as being supported.

You can check out the Tracktor app in our app store here, though again, I would contact them directly to confirm how they might be able to support your needs.
