How can we streamline our school lunch program with online ordering?

Hi Everyone,

Right now our kids school is using paper forms and cash to pay for meals each month and it is a pain. Would like to set up a site to make it easier for the school to take orders and pay online.

  1. The collection (or equivilant) would be laid out like a month, with the date, day and what is available to eat that day
  2. Ideally they would be able to add 1 of each selected meal on a given day directly from the collection, to reduce having to click into a product page to add the item
  3. The parent would need to add the name of the child this is for for the entire order, before entering their billing information. Trying to avoid having to add the name multiple times

Want to keep it visually very simple so that if they switch from paper to the site it is very straight forward.

On the admin side it would be nice (But not necessary)
If there was a way to print out a summary sheet, maybe in a grid with the childs name, and a check box next to each day they have paid for.

Anyone have any thoughts, or have built something like this before?

You might find something relevant on StackOverflow. But this idea sounds so good. As a student I 100% agree that all this cash and papers are clearly a pain for me and other students too. We have a lot of opportunities for education, especially some additional sources on the web. But such simple things are still on the level of 2000th…

And also can universities add some face contol technologies… Because all these school shootings scared me so much
