Currently we are using the MeroxIO Optimized theme and not using the headless storefront. If we use headless storefront, could we implement custom checkout page? How could I achieve it?

Yes, I am looking for someone to assist me on it, and our store is based on shopify plus. But I just only want to customize the checkout page rather than the whole theme. Headless will customize the whole theme, which is not I am looking for. Are there any ways for me to only customize the checkout page?
