How did I add these product options?

HI all!

I am current working with the Dawn theme, and I added some custom product options a while ago.
I returned to my store after a few months to finalise the needed changes and start selling, but I completely forgot how I added those options the first time around. It’s really frustrating because I just can’t remember how I did it, BUT it is the perfect method for my store!

It is different to the built-in Shopify products options function. When I duplicate the product, the new product does not have the same options in place. Attached is a screenshot that shows how the options - hopefully this can shed some light on the method I used and someone can suggest how I did it.

Normally, if you duplicate the product with built-in Shopify, your new product will have the same options as the original product.

  • In your case, I wonder if you installed a third-party app. You can check it by going to your store dashboard and seeing which app you’ve deleted recently.

  • Another probability is that you might have included some custom liquids in your theme or changed the type of your variant picker. Please go to Theme > Customize or Edit Code to check if that is the case.
