How did you validate your first product idea before spending money on inventory?

Validating a product idea before investing is smart. I started by talking to potential customers, gathering feedback, and creating a simple landing page to gauge interest. It helped me avoid wasting money on something people didn’t need.

The route you mentioned is the most sensible one.

I don’t necessarily focus on selling physical products, but on selling my Shopify services. Sometimes, I want to gauge interest, so I extract a budget for paid ads. With these ads, I direct attention to a landing page with 3 important points: the problem to solve, the problem of not solving it, and an “I’m interested” button.

I don’t collect data or any additional information, just a button to indicate how interested you are from 1 to 5. If I see interest, then I create something minimal to be able to offer that service. Here, I only ask for a contact detail if the client decides to leave one.

This is the method that involves the least amount of time for me since I have automated the template creation process to measure ideas, and that’s how I have managed to close several contracts and services with different clients.

Best of luck to everyone.
