I have looked at multiple posts, and none give the correct instructions to add a “Add to Babylist” button to my products underneath the “Buy” button. I am using theme Dawn if that matter.
Topic summary
Goal: add an “Add to Babylist” button/link below the Buy button on product pages using the Dawn theme (Shopify’s default theme, referenced as “Dawn”).
Clarification requested: one participant asks whether this is a wishlist-style feature or simply an Add to Cart button with different text.
Reference example: the original poster provides a live example link (muueveryday.com; scroll to products) indicating the desired behavior/appearance. The linked example is central to understanding the request.
Current status: no implementation details, code, or steps have been provided yet. The functional definition of the button (wishlist/registry link vs. cart action) remains unanswered.
Key questions to resolve:
- Should the button trigger a third-party registry/wishlist action (e.g., an external link) or a local cart add?
- If external, what URL pattern or script is needed to integrate the Babylist link?
- How to insert and style the button in Dawn’s product template (HTML/CSS/JS) beneath the existing Buy button.
Outcome: discussion is open with pending clarification and no decisions or action items finalized.
Is that like a wish list feature you are talking about? Or it adds items to the cart just as add to cart button and you just need it to say “add to babylist”
I am looking to do a link like they have on this website:https://www.muueveryday.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAabWAJYr1Ljhv5XEdi–awBdMekKBq_3Y_5RFvucUaLVjZfOuCJtHP5KAMw_aem_dsuD-KYbTFUdTEfNJ33H8A#shopmuu
