How do I adjust the width of rich text 'blocks' in new dawn theme 4.0?

Hi. Does anyone know how to change the size/width of rich text section blocks in the latest Dawn 4.0 theme?

All I would like to do is spread text further across the page rather than it be restricted/condensed in the centre.

I have tried solutions I have found in other community posts for Dawn 2.0, but these do not seem to work in the latest them.

I would also be interested to know if you can customise the width of rich text sections on different pages (i.e. home, product, collections etc) or if it would be a 1 time adjustment to suit all rich text sections?

Any help or feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi.

Thank you so much for sharing this solution - it seems to work for me also!

I notice if you play about with the px value of the width, you can flex to suit the ideal width you want i.e. it doesn’t have to spread across the full page width. I also notice that it seems to apply to ALL rich text boxes on ALL website pages (which might something I’d like to customize further in the future), but for now, this solves the issue I had.

I now wonder how you can adjust the text size/color/paragraph spacing within the rich text box… perhaps another post for another day!

I actually had a very ling discussion opn another post where I had started a new thread about thios as you had no luck and someone was concerned that because it says “important” it might cause issues on diffefrent screen sizes…I guess if it always kept to whatever px we were giving…suggested to try on diffefrent screens. I was provided various other codes without the “important” bit added on but they didn’t seem to work…Try and find my post I dont know to to link to it…it was a fairly long chat and might be useful

let me know what you think, I am a bit worried to implement it if there is a risk it might go wrong on different size screens…need to try on a copy of the theme and see :slightly_smiling_face:

It all seems very confusing! But again, thank you for sharing. I am completely new to all this as well (the post you saw from me originally was my first!).

The code you shared with me seems to work for me. Not sure about the potential issue with screen size?! I guess I’ll cross that bridge if I come to it!
