How do I automatically send an email 3 days after a purchase

I would like to automatically send a marketing email to customers 3 days after making a purchase.

Does anyone know how to set this up in Shopify without having to use 3rd party apps?

You can totally achieve this with Shopify email marketing.

You can create and manage automations on your Shopify Marketing page. Automations allow you to set up workflows that send an email to your customers when a specific milestone or trigger has been met.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Marketing.

  2. Click on Automations and then Create automation.

  1. Click on custom email automation

  1. For the first step, select Order created

  1. Add an output action

  1. Select wait time as 3 days

  1. Select email template

Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I must have totally missed the “wait” at the bottom of the dialog.

But Shopify Email Marketing only send to user that subscribe to email marketing. This does not apply to all users that have purchased. How do I send automation emails to our existing customers if they don’t subscribe to our email marketing?

Here’s the error message I received

{“status”:400,“response_body”:"{"message":"Flow action received with invalid properties. Customer does not accept marketing for customer id=6334862393526"}

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
