How do I calculate shipping labels after relocating?

Hello

I moved from NYC to LA. My business is registered in NYC, still.

If I want to create shipping label for my products in LA, and mail them out from LA, how is shipping labels calculated? Am I suppose to change settings? If so, how? I do not see change shipping origin in my account.

Can someone advise? I keep going to the post office to mail out my items but much rather create my own labels

You can definitely change your shipping origin. This would first require you to add your Los Angeles address as a Location which you can do by completing the following -

  1. In your Shopify Admin, click on Settings > Locations.

  2. Click on Add Location

  3. Fill out the prompts and make sure you Save.

  4. Once this location has saved, you can click Change default location and make sure the Los Angeles location is selected.

When you have completed the steps to adding a location to your store, you will then need to change your Shipping settings -

  1. Head to Settings > Shipping and delivery.

  2. In the Shipping section (first section of the page), click on Manage Rates.

  3. You should see a Not Shipping From section at the bottom of the page > click Add Rates.

  4. Select either Use Same Rates As option or the Create New Rates.

  5. Once you have completed your rates, scroll up to the Shipping from section, click Show Details.

  6. If you’re looking only to have the Shipping Origin be the Los Angeles location, you would need to select Manage next to the location you’re not using.

  7. Select Remove Rates for _______.

When printing your Shipping Labels, you should be able to see the Return Address has changed, please let me know if this doesn’t work for you!

You can try using Ship&co for your US domestic shipment using FedEx domestic shipping service.
