I showed you exactly where you need to go for background color. And you changed that. For the website background. You don’t need code. You never did. What you need is to learn how your theme is structured and tailored for customizations like changing colors of things.
A section is stretched out indefinitely. That’s a good observation. Now you can change that.
You don’t need all this code here code there. Just focus on learning your theme. Watch some videos. Get some basics down. By the time you watch a couple tutorials, you’re gonna come back here and realize how easy it is.

And it led you exactly where the theme developers chose to put the background setting. No code. No copy and paste. Simple theme settings. So easy my daughter can do it. Good luck figuring out the section width issue, because that will need code
