We sell and ship gift boxes and need to charge shipping for each individual box ordered and shipped. When a customer orders multiple boxes, how do I charge shipping for each box?
Greetings @hamner123 ,
Achieving a shipping rate using Shopify’s Flat Rate Shipping based on quantity or each item is not feasible.
However, you can opt for a weight-based approach. For instance:
0-2KG: $10
2-4KG: $20
To implement this, assign a weight of 2KG to each product. Consequently, when a customer purchases two products, the shipping cost will be displayed as $20.
Hi,
Unfortunately, you can do that in Shopify natively. You can either use weight as a proxy for number of items and set incremental rates, or use a third party shipping rate app like ShipMagic to do setup shipping rates which increase with every additional product.
Thanks, but the weights vary on our boxes, so that would not work.
But, what about cost of an item? Prices for our boxes are the same no matter what age or gender or weight. Can I set the shipping profile according to price? For example: min price - $10; max price - $10; shipping - $7 (for 1 box); Next category… min price - $20; max price - $20; shipping - $14 (for 2 boxes).
Perfect, you can set up price based shipping rates.
Thank you!!
Thank you for responding! I will check these out!
