Hello
We are trying to connect a domain from one.com to a shopify store.
We have 2 stores but one is inactive.
We have used two different codes from shopify but both connect to the inactive store instead of the existing one.
The codes we used for the DNS settings are: 23.227.38.32 and 23.227.38.65
and on CNAME shop.myshopify.com on both.
How to change this?
We have been in contact with support at one.com but they think the fault lies with shopify?
It sounds like this is happening because you had previously connected your domain to the store that is now inactive, but you did not disconnect it before closing that store. First, you will need to get in touch with our support here so that we can help you remove that domain for the inactive store.
Since you already have the right records in place, you will only need to take the following steps to connect it on your new store:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Domains.
Click Connect existing domain.
Enter your domain, and then click Next.
To confirm that your domain is connected to your Shopify store, click Verify connection.
It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be verified. After it’s verified, your domain is listed in the THIRD-PARTY DOMAINS section of the Domains page with the status Connected.
On another note - how are you getting on with Shopify in general? I understand you had a store already and shut it down - were you having issues with it, or did you just feel you wanted to start fresh again? Let me know, I would love to see what other advice I can give you!
Hello,
Thank you very much for your response!
We’ve sent to support, but haven’t received a response yet.
We will not get ahead in the work until this is arranged.
Do you know if there’s any faster way to get in touch with support?
They have a response time of 48 hours.
Thank you for your patience while I was out of office. You have taken the right steps by getting in touch - have you by chance heard back from support since we were last in touch?
I would also recommend you check your spam/junk folder in case their response may have ended up there!
