How do I contact corporate about the support?

Hello,

I need to know how to contact someone higher up at Shopify immediately, because I’m honestly done with this back-and-forth support loop.

I have contacted Shopify live support over and over again, and every single time I have to explain the same issue from the beginning like nobody has any context. I keep telling support this is not a basic live chat issue. This is an account/IP/store restriction issue that clearly needs to be handled by Merchant Trust, Payments, Risk, or whatever department actually has the authority to review and fix this.

But instead I keep getting the same basic answers that don’t help me at all. I sit there for hours trying to make agents understand that they cannot fix this, and that this needs to be escalated properly. I’m tired of being told to wait, tired of generic responses, tired of being passed around, and tired of nobody giving me a real answer.

My store was flagged extremely early after only a small number of orders, and nobody can clearly tell me why. Nobody can tell me if it’s an IP issue, account issue, Shopify Payments issue, trust review, risk review, or something else. How am I supposed to fix something when Shopify won’t even clearly tell me what the problem is?

I’m not refusing to cooperate. I can provide business documents, supplier information, fulfillment proof, product details, bank verification, ID verification, or anything else required. But basic support keeps acting like they can help when they clearly cannot do anything about this type of restriction.

At this point, I’ve had enough. This is my business, my time, and my money. I’m not going to keep sitting quietly while I get stuck in the same support cycle with no real solution. I need this escalated to someone who actually has authority, not another live chat agent reading from a script.

I need someone from Shopify corporate, Merchant Trust, Payments, or Risk to actually review my case and give me a real answer. If there is something wrong, tell me what it is. If documents are needed, tell me exactly what to send. If this cannot be fixed, say that clearly. But stop leaving me stuck with no explanation.

This should have been handled several support chats ago. I need a real escalation, a real case review, and a real path forward.

Please get this to the proper department immediately.

Strictly hypothetical, but what if the Trust Team has 5 thousand stores to go through, one by one? What would your response be, if you were just told to wait your turn? Just curious.

Because whether you agree or disagree, Shopify has developed a structure where the signups grow and become much easier, while the Fraud Team uses more strict flags in the AI crawlers, all while the company downsizes the workforce.

So I’m just curious if you are truly willing to accept the fact that you just need to patiently wait your turn. This is your 5th post concerning the same topic, and each time you have been told this is not the platform for your account issues.

Reach out to them specifically. You want to raise ruckus, do it somewhere they actually monitor, like their social media.

I can feel the pain, but I’d say there is no other way then go through support.
And then, probably the best you’d get is a promise to escalate, again, without real contacts.

And do not open new tickets, always follow up on your original one.

If there was another way, more direct contact, why would anyone chat with support if it’s possible to just pickup the phone and call Toby.

These forums are peer-to-peer and only Shopify employees here are the forum moderators who do not do support.

However, if you’re that serious about your business and have a Plus subscription (or plan to have it), then you should be able to contact your merchant success manager…

Unfortunately, this is what it is.

You’re right, but that’s exactly what I’m asking how do I reach them specifically? Basic live support keeps telling me they can’t fix it and I have to wait, but they also won’t give me a direct way to contact Trust/Payments. I’m not trying to spam the forum, I’m just stuck because the normal support path isn’t resolving anything. I already reached out on X/social media too, but I’m still trying to figure out the best way to get this in front of the actual team that can review account/IP restriction issues.

Hey @brkuo940213

The honest answer the others gave holds, there’s no public phone line into Trust or Risk, but there are two concrete routes beyond live chat. Email the team directly with a short factual summary and your store URL, and on LinkedIn find an actual person on Shopify’s Trust or Risk team (not the company page) and send that same tight summary, a named individual usually gets further than shouting into X. But the thing that actually moves a flag like this isn’t more escalation pressure, it’s a single complete document package. And stop opening new tickets and posts, each one resets your context and your spot in the queue, which is exactly the loop you’re stuck in. Consolidate to one thread, attach the full set of documents, and reference it everywhere you contact them.

Best,
Moeed

Hey there @brkuo940213
From experience, there is no direct line for public contact with the Shopify corporate or Merchant Trust teams, but escalation still has a structured path.
The best way to go about it is to create a new support ticket and explicitly ask to have your case escalated to Risk or Merchant Trust, then paste a brief summary, order history, company information, and any verification documents you have in one go so everything there is cohesive.

If you have a case ID already, just reply to that thread and ask for a “formal escalation review for payment and account restriction ambiguity.” Consolidating everything in one ticket makes for better routing and fewer resets in context.
