How do I create a collection slider for Dawn Theme 7.0?

I’ve been trying for days but I couldn’t do it. I need to make a Collection slider for Dawn Theme 7.0. I tried all the videos but unfortunately it doesn’t fit 7.0. I tried the link, but it still didn’t work. Please help me.
