How do I create a mobile-friendly flex grid for collection pages?

Does anybody know how to create a flex grid like this https://www.fossil.com/en-au/bags/

Would like to create something similar in our collection pages but having trouble. The bandaid solution was to map an image and put it in the collection description like this - https://www.kidstuff.com.au/collections/jellycat

The issue with this method is that it doesn’t flex for mobile

You can add HTML code in collection description to create flex grid like that.

You need create a custom section to show the sub-categories like the reference website
