Could you share which theme you are using on your store? If you are unsure about which theme is live on the store, you can navigate to the Theme Editor and select the three dots located towards the top left. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:
By default, you can use a Shopify theme to add a section to the store to showcase your featured products without a slider. With that being said, I can definitely see the benefit having a slider on your products as this would allow the customers to view the other products. I am going to provide this as feedback to our developers as a suggestion.
